Twin-pad supporters, don't worry...

Supporters of a twin-pad arena in Brockville may be alarmed at the sight of Councillor Jason Baker's motion crossed out of Tuesday night's agenda. No need to panic, the explanation for the motion's deferral is a little higher up, under delegations.

Specifically, the 3M Bantam Brockville Angels are presenting their most recent championship banner to Mayor David Henderson, and  head coach Jason Baker, also the councillor who is spearheading the motion to form a twin-pad arena committee, is heading off  to the club's annual banquet right after that.

The motion returns for a discussion and vote at council's next regular meeting, April 23.

Between now and then, of course, there will be a much more controversial motion returning after a more-than-four-month deferral. Check Tuesday's print edition!
